Conference and Meeting Facilities

Quality meeting spaces for nonprofit organizations in the Central Valley region can be expensive or difficult to find. While the core work at the Buck Foundation is the Frank H. Buck Scholarships, we have an additional resource we make available to nonprofits from the six county area that we support — use of the following facilities at the Buck Estate free of charge:

Policy for Buck Estate Usage

  • The Mansion, Carriage House and grounds shall be used only for private, by-invitation functions of nonprofit organizations.
  • All applications for use must be submitted in writing and approved by the Foundation.
  • Comprehensive and Liability insurance naming the Foundation as insured in the amount of one million dollars will be required.
  • Catering is the responsibility of the hosting organization, and such arrangements must be presented with the application proposal.
  • Number of attendees will be limited. The Carriage House cannot accomodate more than 150 people. Careful checking of admission must be maintained and ingress and egress will be monitored.
  • Adequate security personnel must be provided.

Types of Meetings Allowed

We invite organizations to use our facilities for important organizational or program events. In general, we allow organizations to reserve the facilities no more than once per year, so that we may offer the facilities to a wide range of nonprofits. Our facilities are not available for recurring meetings, such as monthly or quarterly board meetings. A Buck Foundation staff member is present at all events where our facilities are used.
